Get To Know Evernow

It’s Dr. Haver here! You may or may not know this about me, but I am committed to sharing only information for which I can provide a “receipt”. This ensures that whatever you learn from me is not based on my opinion, but that it is based on science, and I have the resources to back it up. When I heard about Evernow, a next-generation digital health company focused on menopause care founded by Dr. Alicia Jackson, I was intrigued.
A quick visit to their website revealed that they have conducted the largest cohort study looking at the type and severity of menopause symptoms for women 40+, with more than 100,000 clinically validated health profiles and a subset of thousands of patients who they are following longitudinally. They are dedicated to learning as much as possible about various forms and treatment and the benefits of pharmacological and educational menopausal support.
It was at that moment that I realized that Evernow is a company that is just as committed to providing “receipts” as I am!
Recognizing that what women do in perimenopause and menopause can impact the rest of their lives, Evernow’s focus is on providing access to the best possible care and treatments. Their Menopause Society-certified practitioners and expert researchers are devoted not just to prescribing clinically proven treatment, but also, to a responsive approach founded on careful listening to the patient!
How Does Evernow Work?
Evernow provides access to menopause-certified providers and evidence-based treatments to help you manage menopause. They are a membership based service, so you always work with the same provider and can access care 24/7.
To get started, enter your zipcode to see if Evernow is available where you live. Then, complete a short intake form to share more about your symptoms and what kind of support you’re looking for. They will match you with one of their menopause specialists to collaborate on your personalized treatment plan, tailored to relieve you of symptoms ranging from hot flashes, anxiety, low libido, brain fog, and more.
Your provider will work in partnership with you, based on your health history and symptoms, to determine what course of action to take. Deciding whether to try hormone therapy is a decision only you can make, based on your symptoms, needs, quality of life, and personal health history. If you choose not to try hormone therapy or are not a candidate, don’t worry; there are non-hormonal treatment options available as well.
The best part is that your treatment doesn’t end when you receive your medication. With your Evernow membership, you’ll have unlimited online messaging so if you have any questions, you can message your provider through your account and they will reply to you within one business day. You also have the option to schedule a video visit with your provider (available in most states, and scheduling can happen the next day). Evernow’s providers are medical professionals with extensive experience treating women in the menopause transition, and their “asynchronous” approach allows for convenience by eliminating the need to go to a doctor's office, which can help get you on the path to feeling better as quickly as possible.
In addition, as an Evernow member, you get access to a number of resources that support your care beyond your relationship with your provider. These include exclusive online communities where you can connect with women in the same phase of life, specialized lifestyle programs across sleep, strength, nutrition & more, and symptom tracking tools to stay on top of your health. All 3 month and 12 month memberships now include complimentary Vaginal Estradiol (received at your door for no extra cost, if you qualify).
How Much Does It Cost?
Evernow membership price varies by plan (ranging from $35/mo-$49/mo), with membership plans including unlimited messages with a board certified menopause specialist, flexibility to add on a video visit (in most states), complimentary access to Vaginal Estradiol (for 3 and 12 month members), and access to their mobile app which includes a symptom tracker and premium members-only content.
To see the best results and take full advantage of their complimentary Vaginal Estradiol offer, Evernow recommends starting with at least a 3-month membership. Visit Evernow.com for pricing and insurance information.
Does Evernow Accept Insurance?
Yes. Evernow offers options to use insurance and HSA/FSA. Evernow accepts most HSA/FSA payment options for membership, and members can receive prescriptions at their local pharmacy where insurance coverage can be applied.
What Medications Will Be Prescribed?
Evernow’s doctors and nurse practitioners may prescribe a hormone therapy, such as estradiol, progesterone, and norethindrone, as well as topical and oral Minoxidil to treat hair thinning/loss. They also offer paroxetine, Veozah, Femistry, and venlafaxine which may be effective treatments for those unable to take hormone replacement. Evernow continues to add more medication options for members, so this list is always growing.
Care for More Than Just Hot Flashes
Evernow recognizes that menopause impacts your whole self, so they focus on providing holistic and comprehensive care in all areas of menopause. Evernow membership includes self-guided programs that they've developed in areas of sleep, strength, nutrition, and pelvic floor health to help address care beyond just prescriptions.
Just recently, Evernow announced they teamed up with Talkspace, a leading online mental health company. Together, Evernow and Talkspace are committed to addressing the physical, mental, and emotional challenges women experience during perimenopause and menopause.
