Tips for Creatine

Creatine is a fine powder that is easily compacted. Be sure not to pack the scoop and gently tap to level.

Creatine works best when taken with easy-to-digest carbohydrates and proteins. It can also be taken with hot or cold beverages.

You can continue to take creatine on the days you don't exercise to aid in recovery and to help maintain muscle creatine stores. It is recommended to take it in the morning as this will aid in maintaining creatine stores throughout the day, but it can be taken at any time during the time. Taking it about 60-90 before or after a workout can help improve its effectiveness.

Try to avoid taking creatine with alcohol or caffeine since they’re both diuretics that can cause dehydration. Also, if you have kidney or liver disease or any medical conditions, talk with your doctor before taking creatine.

Water retention: Creatine might initially make you feel slightly bloated as your muscles absorb water, but this is usually temporary. If you continue to experience bloating, be sure to add roughly 3 to 4 ounces of water for each gram of creatine consumed and make sure you are staying hydrated. Consider that your water intake may vary depending on your muscle mass, activity level, and climate.

It is important to stay hydrated throughout the day! Creatine is pivotal in muscle recovery and growth by pulling water into your muscle cells. This increase in intracellular hydration is critical for optimizing the effects of creatine.

    more endurance and less muscle soreness after workouts

    I have been taking the creatine daily for 9 weeks now. The main thing I notice is that I can lift heavier weights and I do not have the muscle soreness after workouts. I mix it in my morning smoothie and on a couple of occasions I have blended it in water and just knocked it back that way.

    My only complaint is that this is a 60 day supply and when I bundle it with my Collagen order that is a 30 day supply for the bundle deal, I am ordering more than I need at one time.

    I didn't realize how much I needed this

    Since turning 40 and experiencing premenopausal symptoms I've been curious about creatine. My body tends to be sensitive to many of the health products on the market and I've learned the importance of understanding ingredient quality. I'm pleased to share that I have found great benefit from this creatine. I found that taking this (I prefer to add it to a smoothie) before a workout enhances my performance. I'm able to pay attention to what I'm doing more fully (I enjoy group exercise with teacher led instruction) and my recovery is smoother. I feel like I'm really getting a quality workout for the first time since having kids (10 years ago). This has had such a positive impact my husband is looking into a supplement for himself.

    The only drawback (not worth a star deduction) is the packaging. I had to transfer the creatine to a jar that I keep in a cabinet because I couldn't get the back to seal fully.
