Plate systems are flexible, but they can introduce time friction and micro-shifts between plates and pockets. This vest uses a fixed, evenly distributed load to smooth pressure points and help keep the weight centered, so sessions stay simple and consistent.

How To Use

We encourage you discuss the use of a weighted vest with your healthcare practitioner before you begin.  

It is best to start with approximately 5-10% of your body weight, or what is recommended by your practitioner.

Inspect & adjust:

Before you wear, inspect for any material issues with straps or weighted pads.  Adjust straps to wear snug and centered, but not too tight.

To begin:

Start slow, just 10–15 minutes at a time, and gradually increase as you adapt. Avoid high-impact movements until fully acclimated, and allow time for rest and recovery to support long-term results.

Discontinue use if you experience discomfort or pain.

Care: Wipe Clean with a damp cloth. Do NOT machine wash. Do NOT bleach. Dry Flat, do NOT twist or wring. Do NOT use fabric softener.

    excellent!!

    100 times better than my previous weighted vest filled with beads/sand. The flat and consistent weight placement is SO much more comfortable, making this vest more enjoyable to wear. The ability to freeze it makes hot morning walks better. Before I felt bulky and held down, this is sleeker and more comfortable. Never knew I needed pockets on my weighted vest but found myself using them. Very much worth the investment! Once again, Dr. Mary Claire Haver making life in menopause better for all women!

    Weighted Vest

    I am just under 5 feet and weigh 110 pounds. I have had the vest for about 3 weeks now. At first it felt awkward and heavy (heavy being the point!), but it kept me cool and was, overall, comfortable although it could be a bit tighter at the chest. Also, at first it seemed to stress my mid back but after a few walks, that pressure went away. Now it feels very comfortable and my glute and leg muscles seem to have adapted to the added weight. I wear it gardening as well as walking. I am very pleased with how it feels and highly recommend it!

    My first weighted vest

    I bought the 8 pound weighted vest to improve the impact of my walks. It’s extremely comfortable and has two mesh pockets which I love for my cell phone since many of my workout clothes do not have pockets. My boyfriend is jealous as his vest has removable plates and it’s nearly as comfortable. Definitely recommend.

    Immediately making a difference!

    Got this vest 2 weeks before heading out of town for an extended hiking trip, and very sad I couldn’t take it with me. Started wearing the vest for walks - 1 hr every other day, and 30 min every day after dinner. Noticed an immediate improvement in posture, resulting in using my core as it is designed. I have had trouble with pitching slightly forward at the hips, affecting hip/knee/ankle alignment and sciatica. This vest immediately straightened me up - weight distributed between front and back means I’m not compensating like I would with a weighted backpack (my typical weighted training approach). I feel so much better too, which means I’m more consistent with the training overall. Highly recommend!!

    Definitely Cooler

    I’ve been wearing the Pause 12lb vest daily for over a month walking my multiple dogs, an I am impressed with how much cooler this vest is than my previous vest- even in a hot, desert summer day! Definitely worth the investment.
